Yesterday, VCHA, representative from Daily Planet Health Services, Central Virginia Health Services, Inc. and some of our valued healthcare partners met with Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan to discus the impact #Medicaid cuts would have on residents in the Commonwealth.

Cutting either FQHC or Medicaid funding would disproportionately impact the people who need healthcare most, further entrenching existing health disparities. If FQHCs are underfunded or closed, patients will lose primary care providers and rely on overcrowded emergency rooms or urgent care centers, which can’t offer the same personalized, long-term care.? https://lnkd.in/erYfmE_X

Renovations are nearly complete at Daily Planet Health Services' new 25,000-square-foot East Cary Health Center located at 24 East Cary Street in Richmond’s downtown. "This is a true expansion. There are eight dental chairs in this building alone," said Sarah Shear Tunner, Daily Planet’s director of development. "There are seven between our West Grace and South Side locations. We are more than doubling our dental capacity.”
