The Denver office of?VCA Structural?is proud to announce nearing completion on?The Lincoln, developed by?Century Communities. Located in Lonetree at the Lincoln Light Rail Station and within walking distance to the Meridian Golf Club, this project adds a second level to an existing parking garage and wraps the garage with a 5-story type III wood-framed apartment building. The bottom floor is a two-way post-tension concrete slab on void supported by concrete piers. The development consists of 425-units, 514 parking spaces, and contains 438,047 gross square feet with roof top lounge, outdoor entertainment area, and ground floor amenity and retail spaces. VCA Structural collaborated closely with?KTGY?during the design phase. Our Construction Administration team worked closely with the?CFC Construction?team to ensure smooth construction progress by providing timely engineering support, including RFIs and structural observations, to meet the construction schedule. It was wonderful to have architects, developers and construction professionals from our community join us as we unveiled the LEED? plaque (shown here [l to r] with VCA’s Tanner?Leitzinger, Burke Boydell, and Travis Smith, USGBC’s Lauren Farkas and VCA Green’s Robyn?Vettraino). ? "LEED is more than just a certification,” said VCA Principal Travis Smith. “It represents a comprehensive approach to sustainability. Achieving this certification demonstrates our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint, conserving water, and enhancing the health and well-being of our occupants. It also demonstrates the great work of VCA Green in executing LEED projects.”

SB 721 is coming January 1. Are you prepared? VCA Structural?recently completed SB 721 inspections for elevated exterior elements (EEEs) at AVA Hollywood Apartments, owned by?AvalonBay Communities. AVA Hollywood consists of 695 units, including 303 exterior balconies and several common exterior corridors. The project was completed in 2020, with VCA Structural providing the structural design. ? SB 721 requires building owners to have a qualified professional inspect balconies, stairways, and other EEEs in multifamily buildings with at least three units. ? If you're a building owner with multifamily units of three or more, don’t wait until the last minute. The Denver office of?VCA Structural?is proud to announce significant progress on The Marlow developed by the?Sable Partners ? Located near Denver’s City Park, this development features a Type V 4 story wood-framed building over two levels of Type I concrete on a spread footing type foundation. The building is a doughnut shape around a center courtyard with two levels of parking totaling 205 residential units and a total building gross square footage of 205,000. The ground floor will include various amenities, parking, and units. ? VCA Structural collaborated closely with?KTGY?during the design phase. Our Construction Administration team is working closely with the?MPC?team to ensure smooth construction progress by providing timely engineering support, including RFIs and structural observations, to meet the construction schedule. ? Located near Tustin Marketplace, this development features three Type III, 5-story wood-framed buildings on a mat slab foundation. Each building is wrapped around a Type I freestanding parking garage, totaling 1,203 units and a gross wood-framed residential area of 1,288,200 square feet.? ? VCA Structural collaborated closely with?AO Architects?during the design phase. Our forward-leaning Construction Administration team is working closely with the Western National Contractors field team to meet challenging jurisdictional deadlines and ensure seamless building progress by providing timely engineering support and structural observations. ?? Exciting News from Monrovia! ?? VCA Structural is thrilled to announce the completion of the latest apartment building project in the beautiful city of Monrovia, The Alexan Marmont Apartments. This impressive 436-unit wrap structure can be located by spotting this giant-size bear ?? perched on top of the parking structure! VCA is incredibly proud to have served as engineer of record for the parking structure and light frame apartments.?From the beginning, it was a pleasure working with Trammell Crow Residential and the dedicated construction team members to help bring housing to this wonderful community. VCA Structural?is excited to see construction progressing on the Brynn by?Sudberry Properties, Inc. in San Diego. The Brynn project neighbors two additional recently completed multifamily projects in the background with adjacent vacant parcels slated for two future multifamily projects currently under design. VCA Structural provided structural design services for all five projects and is proud to partner with Sudberry Properties and contribute to reshaping the Civita neighborhood. ? This project, designed by VCA Structural in collaboration with?AO Architects, features a five-story Type III wood-framed building wrapped around a free-standing 147,400 sq ft gross Type I parking garage. Upon completion, it will offer residents a vibrant living space with 200 units featuring 11 base unit types, 263,550 sq ft of wood-framed residential area, and 11,700 sq ft dedicated to amenities. ? VCA Structural?is excited to share progress on Convoy Square by?Trammell Crow Residential. We're proud to have collaborated with?Joseph Wong Design Associates architects?during the design stage of this unique project located in the Kearny Mesa area of San Diego. Convoy Square features a five-story Type III wood-framed building with 523 residential units totaling 486,700 sq ft, which wraps around an eight-level Type I parking structure (254,400 sq ft). A portion of the residential building sits over a single level Type I concrete podium creating an open amenity space that contains the clubroom, fitness, karaoke/movie lounge, work lounge and leasing.
