Networking is continuous - you stop doing so at your own peril When conducting military operations, logistics is always a critical factor. At the tactical level, it is broken down into the four B's - beans, bullets, band aids, and bad guys. The beans is chow (food, for the civilians and Air Force vets out there ?? ). For operational orders, the normal communicated plan is that "chow is continuous." What that means is that we aren't going to have time to stop and make sure everyone is getting fed a meal. You will be issued chow (Meals Ready to Eat, aka MREs) and it is on you to make sure you keep yourself fed when the opportunities present themselves. This applies equally to networking for our professional sustainment. There are few guarantees when it comes to employment and entrepreneurship and that lesson is being emphasized with a flashing sign in these past weeks. Do you want to have viable and timely options when you find yourself needing a new source of income, better pay, more growth opportunity, etc? Then you need to be networking...continuously! And if you are a veteran or military spouse in Central Florida, Veterans Beer Club Orlando (VBC Orlando) provides monthly opportunities for this networking to take place in an informal and welcoming environment. Don't let the name fool you. VBC is not about beer drinking (that's just a bonus), it is about networking for the veteran community. I'll be alongside dozens of other veterans, spouses, and patriots this Thursday for the next VBC Orlando meet up in Celebration. Please feel free to join us. Cheers! #vbc #vbcorlando #veterans #transitioningmilitary #militaryspouses #community #connections #networking #opportunities

Every once in a while I get a veteran I know and can vouch for that reaches out to me about any new opportunities! I have an AMAZING PM looking for a new opportunity. He’s honestly the best! A Marine, a PMP, an awesome attitude and one of the most genuinely kind and organized people I have EVER had the pleasure of knowing. He’s in Brevard County, FL. If you know anything, please share! Or private message me for his resume his preferred fields are: PM EH&S Training & Development Process Improvement Lean Six Sigma Strategic Planning Barron Mills Daniel Kelly Eric Campbell Sara Ortenzio Jill New Mariya Volkova, SHRM-CP Aaron Wright Rafael Caama?o, BBA, MBA Lillian Cassidy, CSM/CPO Steve Barber, CCSP, GCDF-I, RBLP-T, SHRM-SCP, SPHR Peter Mahmood Will Gibson
We’ve changed the location of March’s meet up. Sadly, Ovideo Brewing is closing its doors. Nearby in Oviedo, Tavo Mendez and Rock & Brews Restaurants have been strong supporters of the veteran community since opening their doors and we appreciate their quick response to support a combined event with Florida Association of Veteran-Owned Businesses, Inc. (FAVOB) on 27 March. Cheers!
