We are delighted to have been featured in this recent BBC News article; “The algae is eating CO2, or turning the CO2 into biomass,” explains Mr Haflidason. “It's carbon negative.” Unlike conventionally grown spirulina, VAXA's Icelandic Ultra Spirulina (IUS) has a neutral smell and taste- in Adrienne's words- "Mr Haflidason offers me a taste and, after initial reluctance, I try some and find its flavour neutral with a texture like tofu." And this is the true value of IUS- it ensures that people in need of elevated nutrition do not need to suffer, instead, it is easily integrated into the food you already love! ?? IUS is used to fortify traditional foods for malnourished children in Tanzania as part of the ACTION Program and highlights how technology can be leveraged to support our fragile planet and the people who rely on it.?

VAXA is a global climate tech company that has developed a new scientific approach for the sustainable production of microalgae with a significant CO2 offset impact while delivering exceptional nutritional value. VAXA has a verified carbon-negative process that converts clean energy to food (E2F) by leveraging the natural sources of waste heat, CO2 emissions, 100% clean energy, and pristine water from Iceland‘s ON Geothermal Park. In addition, the process utilizes less than 1% of the land and water used in conventional microalgae production and uses no herbicides/pesticides. VAXA creates impactful global emission reductions by replacing a carbon-intensive product (beef) with a carbon-neutral equivalence- Icelandic Ultra Spirulina (IUS).
