关于我们
Founded in 2021 by Jed McCaleb, Vast is developing humanity’s next-generation space stations and pioneering the path to long-term living and thriving in space. Launching as soon as 2025, Haven-1 will be home to the world’s first commercial crewed microgravity research, development, manufacturing platform, and space station. Vast is also developing its future Haven-2 space station to serve NASA’s Commercial LEO Destinations (CLD) program. These Haven stations are designed to test a range of artificial gravity environments, with a fully realized artificial gravity station launching in the 2030s and reaffirming the Vast's commitment to ensuring a spacefaring future for all.

Decades have passed since a space station primary structure has been manufactured in the United States. Vast is changing that.?Our Haven-1 qualification primary structure is in its final stage of welding at our HQ facility. Next, the completed structure will go to our Mojave, CA facility for a critical test to demonstrate its ability to handle the pressure and dynamic loads of launch and operation.

Our CEO, Max Haot, joined an incredible panel at the 75th annual International Aeronautical Conference moderated by Giorgio Saccoccia, Senior Advisor to the Director of the European Space Agency - ESA, with Jay Kim, CEO of Boryung; Bob Lamboray, Senior Project Manager for Exploration and Space Resources at the Luxembourg Space Agency; and Mike Gold, Chief Revenue Officer of? Redwire Space. The discussion explored the future of commercial space stations, from advancing medical research in space to how agencies can empower innovation. At Vast, we’re building the platforms that will make all of this possible. Exciting work ahead as we continue to pioneer the future of commercial space in low-Earth orbit.

This week at the 75th annual International Astronautical Congress, our team proudly showcased progress on Haven-1, the world’s first commercial space station, and unveiled the design for Haven-2, our proposed successor to the International Space Station. Attendees experienced life on Haven-1 through our VR demo, saw our hardware up close, and tried our in-space sleep system. It was inspiring to connect with so many dynamic leaders across the space industry as we continue pushing the boundaries of innovation in low-Earth orbit.

Today at IAC 2024, Vast introduced Haven-2, our proposed successor to the International Space Station (ISS). The first module will be fully operational by 2028, ensuring an overlap of operational space stations before the ISS retires in 2030. This near-term timeline is made possible by leveraging Vast's significant private investment in the design, build, launch, and operation of Haven-1. When completed in 2032, Haven-2 is designed to surpass the ISS in volume, research facilities, and cost efficiency. https://lnkd.in/gmdDw6Gk
