One week away! Here's an early look at a few questions we'll ask Dr. Lydia Nightingale and Robb Wetmore, MHR from Variety Care. Virtual solutions go into place and this addresses the physical distance barrier, but what about potential network challenges/connectivity issues that are more common in rural areas? How do you address or prepare for these challenges? 2. You’ve built this new approach to the front desk. What does the check-in process look like for telemedicine appointments? Hand-off? What’s the role of the medical assistant? 3. With any big technology change, there will be some forms of resistance and fear of the unknown. How did you navigate these conversations? Provider buy-in? Executive buy-in? 4. You’re an Epic shop. And eVisit is not an EMR. Walk us through how you maintain Epic as the source of truth, mirroring what you do in person, while using a virtual care platform outside of Epic? Each one of these questions we could focus 15-20 minutes on, but we'll attempt to get through our full list of 10 questions in the hour focused on challenges in rural communities, building custom workflows based on provider staffing models, and achieving organizational buy-in.
