Since 1946, the Virginia Propane Gas Association has been the leading voice for the Commonwealth's propane industry. Over 250,000,000 gallons of propane are sold in Virginia each year and the industry is responsible for heating over 130,000 households and employing over 1,000 individuals in communities across Virginia. Our membership is made up of propane marketer companies as well as over 40 supplier member companies who supply goods and services to the industry.

As 2024 draws to a close, NPGA is urging Congress to act swiftly by passing a two-year extension of the Alternative Fuel Tax Credit (AFTC) during the upcoming lame-duck session. Set to expire on December 31, 2024, the AFTC plays a vital role in encouraging businesses and individuals to transition to alternative fuel vehicles, such as autogas. In collaboration with a dedicated coalition, NPGA has drafted a letter of support for the AFTC, and we invite you and your business to add your name.
