Congratulations to Roanoke College, Virginia Wesleyan University, and Marymount University, among the public and non-profit private institutions receiving a SCHEV V-TOP Impact Grant to expand internship and work-based learning opportunities, preparing students for a successful future! Roanoke College and Virginia Wesleyan University have been awarded $25,000 Vision Grants to kick-start campus-wide initiatives, create strategic plans, and set priorities for future internship programs. Marymount University will receive a Capacity-Building Grant of up to $150,000 to enhance internship infrastructure, strengthen employer partnerships, and develop a centralized hub for work-based learning activities. These grants, part of SCHEV’s $3.9 million V-TOP initiative, aim to connect students with real-world experiences and employers across Virginia, fostering career readiness and academic growth. Ms. Lehman was selected as one of only 32 students in the United States—out of nearly 3,000 applicants—to become a Rhodes Scholar for 2025! The prestigious Rhodes Scholarship, established in 1903, is widely regarded as the most esteemed international scholarship for American college graduates. This life-changing program covers all expenses for recipients to pursue advanced studies at Oxford University. Selection for this honor reflects not only the highest level of academic excellence, but also integrity, respect for others, leadership ability, and a commitment to making the world a better place. ICYMI: A recent NAICU - National Association of Independent Colleges & Universities survey shows 3/4's of institutions said availability and issues w/ processing new FAFSA affected current incoming fall class.
