This month's #FeatureFriday spotlights Lori Top, Vice President, Science + Technology, who will be celebrating two years with VanTrust this May. “Lori is a vital force within the Science + Technology team, bringing exceptional attention to detail, strategic foresight, and a proactive mindset that keeps every initiative on track. Her talent for cultivating strong relationships—both internally and with clients—fosters seamless collaboration and meaningful results. She stays ahead of challenges, communicates with clarity and confidence, and consistently delivers outstanding work. Lori’s leadership and dedication make her an indispensable asset to every project she takes on,” said Richard Muller, Executive Vice President, Science + Technology. Reflecting on her role, Lori shares,"Working on the Cancer Center for the University of Kansas Health System is a passion project for me. My husband and I are both Cancer survivors and cancer runs throughout my side of the family tree. Isabelle, our daughter, is a PhD student working on a Cancer Biology doctorate from Memorial Slone Kettering in NYC. This project is close to our hearts and a joy to work on. It's been such a blessing to be able to learn new things each and every day and know that you are making a difference- for our S+T team, for the VTRE team and for the VanTuyl family. As the fly wheel of projects in the S+T space continues to move, I’m certain that we’ll continue to be a positive influence on our world and on our collective success," said Lori. Originally from Prairie Village, KS and Pleasant Hill, MO, Lori holds a degree in Architecture from the University of Kansas and an MBA from Rockhurst University. She and her husband, John, have been married for 29 years, and together they have a 25-year-old daughter, Isabelle. Outside of work, Lori enjoys golfing, crafting, and reading whenever she finds the time. She loves visiting NYC to spend time with her daughter and had a blast attending three Taylor Swift concerts in 2024—in Arlington, Amsterdam, and Zurich. With the sun shining, we're excited to share the impressive progress on Building C at the Platte International Commerce Center! This 526,502 SF speculative industrial building is the second structure in our multiphase +/- 2.3 million SF master-planned Class A distribution center, strategically located at MO HWY 92 and Interstate 29 in Platte City, MO. This past month, work on Building C has advanced with the start of roofing, MEP installation, and additional site development. We’re on track for a TCO in July.
