It is no secret that PR continues to evolve at a rapid pace... ICYMI, Muck Rack released their 6th annual 'State of PR' report that looks into the current state of the industry informed by 1,100+ PR professionals. TL:DR takeaways include: ?? While MOST PR pros expect budgets to remain flat or rise over the next half year… ????♀? 50% report biggest challenge = insufficient resources (both personnel & financial) ?? AI ranks as higher priority than media relations - 44% say their company needs to incorporate AI tools into workflow to ensure success in the next 5 years (this grew 13% from last year) ?? 88% feel leadership understands their work at least somewhat well. ?? PR pros at agencies are more likely to feel valued than those at brands - more than 50% at agencies feel valued by leadership compared to only 22% at brands. ?? More than 50% say they research the journalist [before pitching] & 31% 'usually do' (frankly, I am floored that this is only half!) ...And while I have no qualms about sharing my BIG LinkedIn LOVE, it strongly came through in the findings, further reinforcing the infinite upside: ?? 84% say that LinkedIn is a part of social media & communications strategies ??
