Ever wondered what a 93-foot-long conveyor looked like? Well, now you know. ?? Let us know if you need a potato receiving conveyor at almost any length. #foodprocessing #foodequipment #conveyor

The "loweraters" angled ramps in our Bulk Storage Bin Systems ensure product doesn't fall the entire depth of the bin, causing damage. Instead, the product loads gradually and evenly. Combine the loweraters with an inclined inlet, support baffle, optional sheer plows, and more for optimal product integrity. #foodequipment #foodproduction #foodprocessing

The Compact Hydrocutter System provides the food-cutting quality and durability Vanmark is known for in an easy-to-install, compact, and integrated system. Watch a system overview of its user-friendly, flexible operation. Then watch it cut: ?? Potatoes into fries and wedges ?? Cucumbers into spears ?? Peppers into cored quarters and strips #foodequipment #foodprocessing #foodproduction

While switchers and our Distributor have similarities... there's a big difference. They both deliver food products to a cutter head, where it's cut into French fries, pickles, matchsticks, and wedges. And if a plug or a maintenance need occurs, they move or shift flow to avoid costly downtime. BUT The Distributor divides the product into two outlets, sending product through two cutting heads simultaneously and doubling throughput with one pump. The Distributor automatically switches flow to the operational block if a plug or changeout is needed. With a Distributor, processors get the benefits of a switcher plus increased production. ?? #foodequipment #foodprocessing #foodproduction

Look how easily our Bulk Storage Bin Systems load for shipment. Its panel construction allows for fast and less expensive shipping. ?? And easier and faster installation. ?? Its design also offers configurable sizing and sharing of walls between multiple bin systems. That's a bulk of efficiency. #foodprocessing #foodproduction #foodequipment

It may not look like much, but this can greatly impact your hydrocutting system water consumption. This component creates a "cyclone"??? effect, pushing denser starch water to the outer edge of the return water line and then skimming out that water for treatment. ?? Less water removed for treatment ?? Less replacement water ?? Same level of starch removal Add this to your existing Lamina system or on your next order to help address your sustainability efforts. #foodprocessing #foodequipment #foodproduction

When comparing peelers, there are a lot of factors to consider to make sure you're comparing apples to apples (or potatoes to potatoes ??) and selecting the right machine. ?? Steam vs. Abrasive Steam peelers can more easily achieve a 100% peel removal rate but require a significant investment and setup upfront and ongoing. Abrasive peelers are more cost-effective and lower infrastructure and maintenance. Ensure you have the right brush, roll setup, and peel level to avoid over-peeling yield loss. ?? Continuous vs. Batch Continuous peelers provide a much higher throughput with minimal downtime at a higher initial price point. Batch peelers are usually smaller and more flexible but produce smaller batches with downtime between. ?? Capacity Speaking of capacity, there are a range of sized machines regardless of their operation. Usually, larger machines cost more but allow continued scaling for your business. ?? Water Consumption & Treatment You can't avoid water usage in processing, but you can improve sustainability. Look for complementary solutions that clean and recirculate processed water and remove peel debris before it goes to treatment. While an additional expense now, the long-term efficiency and reduced water usage and treatment costs can produce a positive ROI quickly. ?? Customizations A low-cost machine doesn't do much good if it's not configured to your operation. Spend wisely adding CIP systems, drip pans, and more to increase efficiency. ?? Controls Integrated controls are a significant additional expense, but they provide long-term ROI over manual labor for operations that need high production, automation, and integration to a full line. ?? Maintenance & Parts Be sure to consider these in your initial cost comparison. Since peelers run for years, aftermarket costs can be considerable if you choose the wrong solution. Be confident in choosing your next peeling solution. #foodprocessing #foodequipment #foodproduction
