Here are a few of our best interview tips for Social Workers looking to enter into a Department of Social Services system in NC. ?? Be Ready for Questions – Positions in agencies often include questions that assess your actions in specific situations. Be prepared to provide examples of how you’ve handled challenges. ?? Showcase Your Skills - Highlight your technical and interpersonal skills, such as the ability to build rapport with clients. Discuss any training or workshops you’ve attended that enhance your skills. ?? Discuss Your Approach to Supervision and Collaboration – Since you will be interviewing with a potential supervisor, be ready to discuss any experience that you have working under supervision and how you collaborate with colleagues and other professionals. ?? Ask Thoughtful Questions – Prepare a list of questions to ask the supervisor about the agency and the specific expectations of the role. ??
