Vancouver Clinic was honored to accept the Washington Achieve Award last night from the Association of Washington Business (AWB). The AWB recognized three of our high-caliber education and workforce development programs. Our Internal Medicine Residency Clinic is helping to recruit, train, and retain vital primary care clinicians in our community during a growing doctor shortage. Introduced just this year, our Medical Assistant in Training and Medical Assistant Apprentice programs help reduce barriers to education and employment. By allowing individuals with no previous health care experience to earn as they learn, students can launch their careers as a vital part of patient care teams. Our physicians, leadership, and staff have put their whole hearts and countless hours into these programs, and we are beyond thrilled to see their work recognized.
Congratulations to Vancouver Clinic, winner of the Washington Achieve Award, for outstanding work to support workforce development. Achievements include creation of the first-ever internal medicine residency in Southwest Washington to address the shortage of physicians. #AWBExcellence
