This Wednesday, 2/26 Josh is presenting "Breathing Through the Practice of Law: Mindfulness for Attorneys" with his friend and colleague Dr. Brian Strahine as part of the Mecklenburg Bar Association's 2025 Employment Law Update. About Brian: Brian has been working with children, families, and adults as a teacher, coach, and therapist for 25 years. He holds 2 advanced degrees in counseling and a doctor of education in learning organizations and strategic change. He is also a master-level yoga teacher, breathwork facilitator, and sound healer. He has extensive training in mindfulness-based stress reduction practices and 15 years of personal practice. As a former college football player and cyclist who rode across the United States, he believes that movement is the medicine that can heal so much of a person's pain. Brian currently works in private practice as a clinical psychotherapist and specializes in men's mental health. He also leads a men's retreat twice a year in the Charlotte area. We are elated to announce that Brian Clarke will be joining Van Kampen Law this Wednesday as a partner. Brian will be a unicorn of sorts as a plaintiff-side employment lawyer in that he has worked extensively as an EEOC administrative law judge, employment law professor and BigLaw management-side attorney. Brian's ability to examine cases through these three lenses will make him hard to be beat. The Firm will be better with Brian down the hall on day one.
