A few Van Ert Electric employees were proud to represent empowHER at the NorthEast Wisconsin construction trades career day yesterday! They were able to connect with several local high school students showcasing the many opportunities in the trades. Students participated in hands-on activities and learned about the benefits of an “Earn while you Learn” apprenticeship. Exciting futures are being built!

This week our teams are conducting scheduled fire drills to ensure everyone is prepared in case of an emergency. These drills help us practice safe and efficient evacuation procedures, reinforcing our commitment to maintaining a secure workplace for all. Some of Van Ert‘s Wausau team were able to participate in a Build my Future event which offered 1,300 students from 25 local schools opportunities to do hands on activities provided by several employers. What a great event to give students a chance to get familiar with the trades! At our booth, they were able to learn the basics of an electrical circuit??and bend conduit. ??

Today, we honor and remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001. It has been 23 years since the tragic events that changed our nation and the world forever. On this solemn day, we reflect on the bravery of first responders, the resilience of survivors, and the unity that brought people together in the face of unimaginable adversity. We will never forget the nearly 3,000 lives lost and the families forever impacted. Let us continue to honor their memory by standing together in kindness, compassion, and strength.

A Van Ert employee was called last weekend to help regain power at a concert at the Fond du Lac County Fair when things went awry on stage during the performance. After he was completed, he got a giant kudos from the performers and the fair staff!!

Earlier this month, our team was able to help Northcentral Technical College with an unexpected power outage they experienced. You can rely on our teams to assist your business in the event this happens to you. ?? Thanks to those on the Van Ert team that were able to step in to get things working again. ??

Van Ert was a proud sponsor of last nights successful axe throwing event for the empowHER group. Over 40 people attended for a great networking opportunity. The goal of empowHER is to retain and recruit women into the trades. We look forward to many more of these events!
