Vamos Outdoors Project

Vamos Outdoors Project provides numerous outdoors and academic programs for the Latine, Migrant, Multilingual, and Newcomer youth in Whatcom and Skagit counties. We encourage healthy habits, social-emotional learning, and positive childhood experiences that cultivate character, confidence, and perseverance. We also connect families with essential resources that support stability and growth in their communities. There are no other programs that celebrate the outdoors, in our geographic region, that support this population. Vamos provides rich outdoors experiences for these youth in order to promote a positive self esteem, self confidence, and strong sense of community. Our staff is a group of dedicated professionals, many of them coming from migrant and immigrant families themselves. They have a deep passion and commitment to these children, their families, and their futures. This work would not be possible without the generous financial contributions from our donors and endless hours from our volunteers. For this, we sincerely thank all of our contributors knowing that we could not accomplish great things for this community without them.
