The oil and natural gas sector is experiencing a moment of great movement in the mergers and acquisitions market. In 2024, the number of operations reached 26, a growth of 62% compared to the previous year, according to a survey by KPMG. The largest number of deals involved Brazilian companies, which totaled 20 transactions, compared to 11 in 2023. This increase in operations indicates a significant recovery in the sector, with a focus on optimization and operational efficiency, in addition to the search for greater competitiveness.
