It’s been an exciting fall so far for our Women in Business program, full of inspiring events and lively panel discussions. Here’s a quick recap of our events to date: The Value of Being a NYS-Certified Women-Owned Business: We co-sponsored a panel discussion with WIFS Long Island at the Bristal Assisted Living in Jericho, NY. Business Expo: We co-sponsored a business expo with the Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of NJ at The Brownstone in Paterson, NJ. Homeless Solutions, Inc. 17th Annual Women’s Day: We raised funds to help working mothers afford childcare at the Morris County Golf Club in Morris Township, NJ. Women’s Wellness Event: We hosted a women’s event in Rye Brook, NY in partnership with Katherine Quinn from Support Connection, Inc., and Maria Barca from Valley Business Banking focused on wellness and empowerment. New Jersey Business & Industry Association (NJBIA) Annual Women’s Conference: Our own Dorothy Kahlau participated in a panel in Atlantic City to discuss the importance of financial literacy and leadership for women in their personal and business lives. Morristown Festival on the Green: As presenting sponsors alongside other Valley Bank partners, we enjoyed a great turnout at this annual event. June was a month filled with inspiring events and meaningful connections for Valley’s Women in Business Program. Here's a snapshot of our events for the month: Hackettstown, NJ Branch SBA Panel: Providing women entrepreneurs with essential funding tools and networking opportunities. Let’s Talk Women’s Health & HerMD: We sponsored a women's event at 18 Label Studios in Montclair, NJ, focused on wellness and empowerment. Re-Imagine Conference: We sponsored MGXW Consulting’s empowering conference on Long Island. Our own Dorothy Kahlau moderated a panel of women speakers entitled "Navigating Waters - Women in Male Dominated Industries" WCEC NJ Pitch Competition: Spotlighted talented women entrepreneurs and fostered business growth. Alabama Winery Event: We ended the month with insightful discussions and networking at Cat-n-Bird Winery. Thank you to all who participated and supported these events. From networking to inspiring talks, here's a quick recap: In Thornwood, NY, we kicked off with a delightful in-branch event featuring networking, wine tasting, and charcuterie boards. Donna Ruzzi and Lisa SummaGuarino, our new Women in Business Ambassadors, welcomed guests with open arms. Our second hosted event in May at Calandra’s restaurant in Fairfield, NJ, was a hit! Susan Ascher, CEO of The Ascher Group and transformational career and leadership coach, shared invaluable insights on how to stay relevant and professionally grow.
