Today we want to highlight an outstanding member of our VSHRM board, Julie Bellamy. Julie served as our Past President and is currently our SHRM Foundation Chair. Her journey with VSHRM started during a challenging time amidst the COVID pandemic. She stepped up to the leadership role, offering support and valuable contributions at a time when it was needed the most. Julie's dedication and commitment to our vision of expanding remote programming and professional support have been instrumental in our success and growth. She optimized connections with MISHRM and SHRM, bringing in speakers and programming ideas to enrich our chapter. A notable achievement under Julie's presidency was resolving the sound issues for our remote streaming, a critical aspect as most of our members were attending remotely. She also celebrated when our in-person attendance went up post-COVID, reflecting the resilience and strength of our community. Outside of her professional life, Julie cherishes spending time with her family, enjoying outdoor activities, and cooking meals with her children and their spouses. She is a proud mother of five and “Dama” to four grandchildren. Julie is not only the founder and President of Sequelle HR Suite but also a visionary leader with a reputation for offering practical and comprehensive solutions to business and people issues. Her vast experience, from the shop floor to the boardroom, in global, domestic, public, and private businesses, and non-profit agencies, makes her a role model for many. Julie's passion for serving on the board of VSHRM is evident. She says, "I'd like to think I was able to fill a void and contribute to get the Chapter through a rough time. We put a lot of effort into developing and recruiting new volunteer leaders, which is really paying off today as all our board roles are filled with great talents!"
