We are not done yet. We are excited to add another 5.5 miles to our rail system and introduce a two-line system with the opening of the South Central Extension/Downtown Hub next year!
Our region’s light rail investments are fueling major economic development! ?? From 2000 to 2019, property values within a quarter mile of light rail surged by over 300%—which is double the countywide average over that same period. The latest Northwest extension added 1.6 miles to the light rail system and included the region’s first-ever elevated rail station and a new rail-only bridge over the I-17 freeway.
