On Friday, November 22nd, Valley Health hosted a ribbon-cutting event at the brand-new medical office building in Strasburg, located at 33699 Old Valley Pike. Valley Health caregivers, elected officials, and community leaders were in attendance to get a first look at the facility. The 15,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility will house Urgent Care Express, an Outpatient Laboratory, and Primary Care. Valley Health Urgent Care Express and the Outpatient Laboratory are now open. Valley Health Primary Care, formerly known as Valley Health Shenandoah Memorial Hospital Family Medicine, will open on Monday, December 9th. For more information, visit https://lnkd.in/enx2YYnH
On Sunday, November 24, Valley Health celebrated the renaming of the Heart & Vascular Center at Winchester Medical Center. In recognition of a generous donation by Gerald “J.J” Smith, the facility has been renamed the Clyde A. Smith Heart & Vascular Center in honor of his grandfather whose life was impacted by heart disease. Heart disease remains a leading cause of death for men and women, and this gift will fund enhanced cardiovascular services right here in the Shenandoah Valley. The significant contribution was made as part of the Stronger Together campaign, an initiative of Valley Health Foundations to enhance access and address healthcare gaps in our community. On November 15th, Valley Health hosted a Legislative Lunch and tour of Spring Mills with West Virginia legislators to provide an update on construction at the facility, which is expanding to include CT and MRI in 2025. West Virginia legislators in attendance included Delegates Wayne Clark, Michael Hite, Don Forsht and Chuck Horst.
