A remarkable success story to kick off your week??: A Rwandan startup, CHARIS UAS, is using drone technology to effectively target mosquito populations, reducing malaria cases by 90% in the two pilot districts! Working with the government, CHARIS is deploying drones equipped with geomapping technology to precisely target mosquito breeding sites in wetlands, farms, and other hard-to-reach areas. They’re also equipped with spraying systems for application of eco-friendly VectoBac WG larvicides that combat the mosquito population at the larval stage, before they mature and spread disease.
