As a female founder, it's extremely intimidating to enter the world of fundraising especially when you've never done anything like it before. This summer I was lucky enough to be part of the Dream Ventures summer cohort and learn the ins and outs of fundraising just in time for the Fall. They provided 7 weeks of incredible content and badass guest speakers including Maggie Sellers, Michelle Larivee, and many more. Last week, we wrapped up the experience with a full day of meeting investors, pitching our businesses, and networking with other founders. I truly can't say enough great things about Annie Evans and Kelley Arena and their dedication to helping women become savvier when it comes to funding their businesses and setting themselves up for success.
