We are thrilled to introduce what we believe will be the crown jewel of our 2025 Chalkware collection: the German Night Christmas Market Santa. This limited edition of only 200 pieces is a heartfelt tribute to the enchanting Bavarian traditions that have inspired us for decades, crafted with the unparalleled artistry and craftsmanship that defines Vaillancourt chalkware. Every detail of our German Night Christmas Market Santa embodies the magic of Germany’s Christkindlesmarkts, where Judi and Gary Vaillancourt have found endless inspiration during their bi-annual pilgrimages. These cherished trips, often shared with groups of dedicated collectors, immerse us all in the timeless beauty of Bavarian Christmas traditions. The result is a Santa that does more than celebrate the season—it captures the spirit of cold winter nights, where the warmth of family and friends radiates amidst the soft glow of Christmas market stalls. The design of this special Santa is nothing short of breathtaking. His coat, adorned with a depiction of the German market night sky, invites admirers to step into a world where Moravian stars hang above bustling market stalls, and the air is filled with the scent of mulled wine and roasted chestnuts. Our molded chalkware figure showcases our signature attention to detail and dedication to storytelling through art. "We wanted this piece to evoke the feeling of standing in a German market, surrounded by the glow of lights and the comforting hum of holiday joy," says Judi Vaillancourt. "The Moravian stars, the market’s vibrant energy, and the deep blues of the winter sky all play a role in bringing this vision to life." As with all of our pieces, the German Night Christmas Market Santa is hand-painted in our Sutton, Massachusetts studios using traditional techniques. It stands as a testament to our mission: to create fine art collectibles that withstand the test of time, bringing joy to this generation and those yet to come. This limited edition Santa is now available for pre-orders with Premier Numbers starting to ship Monday, April 28th. With only 200 pieces available, we encourage collectors and enthusiasts to secure this exceptional addition to their collections early, as it is sure to become a treasured keepsake.

We are excited to unveil our latest innovation at Vaillancourt Folk Art: the?Vaillancourt Christmas Curator, an AI-powered tool designed to blend technology with tradition. As we celebrate our 40th anniversary, this launch marks a new chapter in how collectors and Christmas enthusiasts can engage with the rich history and stories behind our art. We understand the public’s hesitation around AI—many concepts seem flashy but lack practicality. However, we believe museums, in particular, stand to benefit from AI, which is why we’ve been working on something meaningful: our Christmas Curator. This tool is designed to curate and present the vast history and artistry of Christmas, with a special focus on the Vaillancourt collection. Over the last four decades, we’ve accumulated a wealth of history—from our business evolution and refined studio work to our archive of thousands of museum-quality Christmas pieces from cultures and generations around the world. From a business perspective, we’ve grown from the folk art shows of the bicentennial era to creating the highest quality Christmas products for collectors globally. From an artistic standpoint, our collection includes thousands of museum-quality works, documenting Christmas traditions from every culture. And in terms of storytelling, we’re preserving the legends and lore that keep Christmas traditions alive. The Christmas Curator isn’t just a tool—it’s a bridge to a deeper understanding and appreciation of Christmas. It lets collectors explore Judi Vaillancourt’s inspirations, discover products that resonate with them, and dive into the rich traditions of Christmas as deeply as they want. We’re proud to release version 1 of the Christmas Curator, with even more in-depth features coming soon. Our hope is that this AI-driven approach will set a new standard in how the curation of traditions can help preserve the spirit of Christmas, aligning with our core mission at Vaillancourt Folk Art.
