关于我们
The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (VirginiaDMV) serves a customer base of approximately 6.2 million licensed drivers and ID card holders with over 7.8 million registered vehicles. The agency's responsibilities include vehicle titling and registration, driver licensing and maintenance of driver and vehicle records. The agency also collects Virginia's fuel tax, monitors the state's trucking industry and serves as Virginia's Highway Safety Office. In addition, the agency effectively enforces motoring and transportation-related tax laws, and efficiently collects and distributes transportation-related revenues. VirginiaDMV has more daily face-to-face contact with Virginia's citizens than any other state agency. DMV also serves a wide array of businesses, including dealers, fuels tax customers, rental companies, driving schools, other state agencies, local governments and non-profit organizations.

We are so lucky to have you, Linda Ford! Thank you for all your hard work.
Yesterday I was pleased to return to the Virginia Department Of Motor Vehicles and join Commissioner Gerald Lackey and Deputy Commissioner and CIO Lana Shelley in recognizing a wonderful DMV Leader - Deputy Commissioner and Chief Operating Officer Linda Ford. Linda is a great leader within the DMV; a dedicated public servant; and a great personal friend. During my second term as DMV Commissioner, Linda was my go-to person and trusted confidant and served as the top person on the implementation of so many of our customer service initiatives. At the end of my tenure, Linda was my second in command and was key in getting the Agency through the difficult COVID-19 years.

Our Law Enforcement Division partnered with the Roanoke CSC to attend a Hispanic Community Event at Breckinridge Middle School. We engaged with residents, answering questions about obtaining VA licenses and ID cards. Our dedicated team, April, Amy, and Mercy ensured everyone felt supported. Thank you to our partners and team members for making this event a success! A special thanks to the Roanoke City Police Department for their support! Looking forward to more opportunities to engage! #CommunityEngagement #VADMV #PublicService
