Hollister, a global leader in medical devices, has generously donated to the Wilson Workforce and Rehabilitation Center (WWRC), a division of the Virginia Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services. This donation helps WWRC continue its mission to provide students with disabilities the skills and credentials needed for rewarding careers in advanced manufacturing. Located in Stuarts Draft, Virginia, Hollister’s plant manufactures life-changing healthcare products, and their partnership with WWRC has already led to employment for WWRC graduates joining their workforce. Through vocational training programs like the Manufacturing Technician Level 1 credential, WWRC equips students with the expertise to succeed in today’s manufacturing industry. WOW…DARS Day was amazing. Over the last 3 weeks nearly 60 students came in our local field office and learned all things Virginia Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services (DARS) youth and adult services. They also got to do a career assessment. We have some dynamic individuals coming up in this local workforce! Watch out! Each of them possess INCREDIBLE skills and will be a dynamic addition to your place of employment!! Thanks Lynchburg City Schools Heritage High School and the postgrad program at Central Virginia Community College for bringing your students today!
