The 9th annual VA AWWA Tidewater Model Water Tower Competition was held on November 2nd, 2024. The competition had 7 towers from 2 middle schools, with scoring based on imagination, structural efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and hydraulic storage and efficiency. Students, parents, and teachers had a fun morning learning about water infrastructure and seeing the creativity and craftsmanship of the teams put to the test. Thank you to the volunteers for an excellent job engaging the next generation of the water industry, and thank you to ODU for hosting this event.
