?? New Research Alert! Proud to share the latest validation study published in Volume 19, Issue 1, exploring teacher candidate preparedness: "Validation of an Instrument to Measure Teacher Candidates’ Perceptions of Preparedness to Meet InTASC Standards" by Michael Floren, Nancy M. Sileo, Valerie J. H. Sherman, & Kiley Floren. This research focuses on the InTASC Candidate Self-Perception Instrument (ICSPI), designed to measure how well Educator Preparation Programs (EPPs) equip candidates with essential teaching competencies. The study utilized Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) to assess the instrument’s structure, aligned with the InTASC standards, reinforcing its content, construct validity, and reliability. The ICSPI offers critical insights for educator programs and stakeholders by validating a tool that captures candidate self-assessments in their preparation. These results not only support the work of EPPs but also align with standards from CAEP, AAQEP, and state-level agencies, ensuring that graduates meet P-12 educational needs effectively. ?? Take a look if you’re interested in the continuous improvement of educator prep programs! https://lnkd.in/eFEYWQMT
