Is virtual care dying? Where do we go from here? I've been asked these questions many times over the last few months (years?). I strongly believe virtual care is here to stay, but enduring companies will look very different than they did just a few years ago. So...I decided to pick up the pen again and write about my perspective! Care delivery companies that have a maniacal focus on outcomes - particularly, quality & cost - will continue to differentiate and gain traction. Buyers (& investors) continue to support high quality tech enabled care delivery. The "virtual" element just serves to improve access & convenience. Over the coming months (& with the help of some amazing co-writers!), I'll write in-depth posts at the cutting edge of tech-enabled care delivery & virtual care, including topics in sustainable business models, value-based care, regulation, and more. Subscribe for more content. As always - I welcome feedback and discourse! #virtualcare #telehealth #digitalhealth #healthtech #healthcare

We proudly support the stakeholder letter urging the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to protect virtual care practitioners by addressing the requirement to report their home addresses for billing and enrollment purposes. By advocating for alternative solutions, such as allowing a business address or geographic indicator, we aim to ensure the privacy and safety of virtual care providers while expanding access to high-quality, digitally-enabled care for patients in need. A new model of care is emerging that promises to democratize healthcare access for millions of Americans and revamp our care delivery system, focusing on value and efficiency. #VirtualCentersofExcellence (vCOEs) represents a pivotal advancement in healthcare delivery. They are poised to revolutionize patient care by eliminating geographical and cost barriers to ensure that top-tier specialized care is accessible to a broader population. ? Check out the recent article in MedCity News by Sam Holliday (Oshi Health) and Abby Sugg (Digital Medicine Society (DiMe) to learn more about vCOEs and how they are reshaping the way we approach chronic condition management to drive better outcomes for patients, providers, and payers alike. #VirtualCare #HealthcareInnovation #AccessToCare #V1C
Today in MedCity News, #OshiHealth CEO Sam Holliday and Abby S., MSHCM Associate Director of the V1C Coalition by DiMe write about the rise of the virtual center of excellence (vCOE). Especially for the treatment of costly chronic conditions and specialty care, virtual centers of excellence are democratizing the most effective and clinically advanced care – and transforming access in every way that matters. The virtual center of excellence model untethers the requirement to uproot lives and travel to an institution. Center-of-excellence quality care and their highest quality clinicians are just a telehealth appointment away, often available within days. Even better news: vCOEs are increasingly available to employers and their populations through their health plan networks for a variety of specialty care categories including oncology, women's health, musculoskeletal, and #digestivehealth.? #virtualcare #telemedicine #GIHealth #CenterOfExcellence Read the article: https://lnkd.in/gf6gpDrj
