Exciting news and a great achievement for V&R Energy! The paper “Revolutionizing the Grid of the Future with a Wide-Area Monitoring and Control System,” which describes the PMU-based EMS system developed by V&R Energy and its use cases for grid monitoring, control, and event analysis at Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), has been published in the January/February 2025 issue of the IEEE Power & Energy Society Power and Energy Magazine! V&R Energy is excited to be a part of the winning team for a project selected by the DOE Office of Cybersecurity, Energy Security, and Emergency Response (CESER). The project will develop a scalable, flexible, and cost-effective cyber-physical platform capable of simulating a large-scale electric power grid with multiple DERs under various cyber and physical contingencies.? The project will be led by North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, in partnership with Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, New York Power Authority, V&R Energy, and INS Engineering. #vrenergy #energy #cybersecurity

V&R Energy, together with ComEd and Tenaga Nasional Berhad, is excited to contribute to two Chapters in the book “Experiences on Use of State Estimator in Power System Operations”, editors Veera Raju Vinnakota and Sarma 'NDR' Nuthalapati! Chapter 18 describes the process of testing and deploying the transmission linear state estimator at TNB Malaysia, along with the lessons learned by the team during this process. Chapter 20 focuses on testing and validating the distribution linear state estimator at ComEd, which is the first utility in the United States to deploy the application in the field!
