UZURV is honored to sponsor the Texas Transit Association (TTA) State Conference this year.? The TTA team has put together a great program, with a full schedule of important, timely conversations about what’s next in transit and paratransit programs. Be sure to attend the opening session featuring Dr. Kevin Elko and his presentation, “I’m Strong If You’re Strong: Leadership By Developing The Gifts of Your People and Shaping A Winning Culture.” And this year there is a mini-golf course in the expo! Make sure to play a round at the TTA Expo including a hole at our booth (#602)! The UZURV team, Susan Starwalt, Eric Rademacher, Janna V., and Amanda Ellis, are excited to meet and learn more about how Texas transit agencies are shaping their paratransit programs for resiliency. ? Reach out to our team at [email protected] to set up a time to chat or play through our booth at the Expo!

The Disability Minute, an excellent radio segment produced by The Chicago Lighthouse and aired on WBBM Newsradio 105.9 FM, interviewed Ron Brooks about our service in the Chicago region, including for the #Rideshare #Access #Program. He said it best - “We [UZURV] exist to make transportation easy, accessible, and dignified. It just should work.”
We recently aired a segment of The Disability Minute that shared the difficulties people with disabilities face with rideshare services like Uber. But there's an alternative: UZURV – The Adaptive TNC! UZURV is a rideshare service exclusively for paratransit riders, with drivers trained to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities. Listen to this week’s Disability Minute to learn more about this service and how to book rides.

There have been a number of confusing comments and information swirling around the Federal Transit Administration’s (#FTA) recent?“Notice of Proposed Policy Statement Regarding the Applicability of FTA’s Drug and Alcohol Testing Program to Transportation Network Companies.”?As an Adaptive Transportation Network Company that operates an FTA Compliant Drug and Alcohol testing program, we have pulled together some of the more common myths we’ve seen in comments and provided much needed context. https://lnkd.in/eWaTsaP7

Today our CEO, Ned Freeman posted an open letter to the public transit community about the role drug and alcohol testing plays in the safety and trust riders put into our nation’s transportation systems. Simply put: #FTA #Drug and #Alcohol testing makes public transit safer and testing should protect all riders, not just some riders. Read the entire letter here: https://lnkd.in/eXUEQhvh
