Bridging Cultures at #PDAC2025 PDAC is a global stage where the mining industry comes together, but sometimes, the most engaging moments go beyond business and minerals. These two young women, Uzbeks living in Toronto, joined us at the booth to help showcase Uzbekistan’s rich cultural heritage — and they quickly became one of the highlights of the event. Dressed in traditional Uzbek robes, they sparked curiosity among attendees, drawing people in with their presence alone. Many stopped to ask about the patterns on their robes, learn more about Uzbekistan’s traditions, and, of course, take a photo (as captured here). It was a reminder that while PDAC is a mining convention, it is also a global gathering where culture and connection play just as big a role as deals and discussions. At its core, the mining industry is about more than just resources — it is about the people, communities, and cultures behind them. As we look toward the future of mining, investments, and critical raw materials, it is just as important to appreciate the stories and traditions that shape the regions where these materials come from. At the end of the day, the mining world is not just about resources — it is about people. And moments like this show how much curiosity and conversation can come from simply sharing a piece of home. #MiningIndustry #CriticalMinerals #BridgingCultures #GlobalConnections #FutureOfMining
