This morning on the radio: CherPao Vang of HMONG AMERICAN MUTUAL ASSISTANCE ASSOCIATION INC (HMAAS) Founded in 1980, HMAAS has been a cornerstone of support for the Hmong community in Sheboygan, growing from assisting Southeast Asian refugees to becoming a vibrant hub of #mentalhealth advocacy, #literacy support and #culturalpreservation. Their dedication to serving is evident, but their true legacy is the thriving and resilient community they’ve helped build. And mark your calendars for next weeks' #HmongNewYear celebration! The weekend will be filled with live performances, a fashion show, Hmong food, a dance competition, karaoke, a volleyball tournament, and so much more. As always, thank you WHBL 1330 and 101.5 News, Talk, Sports and B93 Sheboygan's Country for allowing us to share stories of impact and hope from our nonprofit community!

?? Did you know the Warming Center has a new home? This morning, our Volunteer Center Director Lisa Finney joined Liz Kroll from Sheboygan County Food Bank and Karina Aguirre Vazquez from Sheboygan County Warming Center on the radio to discuss critical resources for the community this winter. Many in our community face the harsh reality of living without adequate shelter. The Sheboygan County Warming Center serves as a vital lifeline, providing warmth, safety, and comfort to those who need it most. But they can’t do it alone! They rely on compassionate, dedicated volunteers to help them keep their doors (and their hearts) open to help others in need. If you can give only a few hours, your time will make a world of difference. To learn more about volunteer opportunities with the Warming Center, please visit https://lnkd.in/dFNUqEDg
