The Law & Entrepreneurship Clinic provides free legal services to inventors, entrepreneurs and small businesses. Student associates work with supervising lawyers to form companies, register and develop intellectual property and provide advice on tax issues, among a range of other practice areas. We collaborate with the Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery, Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation and Wisconsin’s leading law firms.

Lenisha Gibson 3L is thankful for the experience of helping UW–Madison student-athletes navigate the intricacies of their Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) contracts. The products are currently available in seven locations thoughout Wisconsin. Our client Midwest Linen Revival is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing research, education, and outreach related to fiber flax and linen production. Co-founder Leslie Schroeder is a dedicated advocate for sustainable agriculture in the Midwest and is working to promote flax as a vital agricultural crop in the region and empower local farmers. Owner and UW alumnus Shawn Willette conceived of the idea for the Antimatter Chair, the company's flagship product, while enjoying the view atop Mt. Rainier.
