Finance and Business Analytics major Riley Siltman didn’t know there was a minor in Personal Financial Planning when he first came to UW-Green Bay, but when he learned about it, he found it fit in perfectly with his career goals. Siltman explains, “there is a lot of need for this industry in general. There are a lot of places hiring, a lot of internships out there. Congratulations Dr. Vallari Chandna for being awarded the Lawton Sustainability Award at the Keynote and Networking Event! Vallari's dedication to sustainability is evident in her teaching, service, and research, from redesigning courses to emphasize sustainability, to her active involvement in sustainability initiatives at UWGB, to her impactful research on sustainability across various contexts. Her work, which integrates sustainable practices into the curriculum and fosters community collaboration, has made her a leader in advancing sustainable education and practices both on and off campus.

Congratulations Dylan Polkinghorne for being awarded the LaForce Innovation Award at the Keynote and Networking Event! Through her innovative initiatives, including the creation of an Open-Access textbook, the incorporation of the CSB Elevator Pitch competition, and the development of micro-internship opportunities, she has enhanced student engagement and provided valuable real-world experiences. Her efforts to integrate certifications and restructured course formats reflect her commitment to fostering student success and preparing them for careers in human resources.

Myles Brown, Martin Sanchez-Sanchez, Ramiro Diaz, and Adham Elkasses participated in the CFA Global Research Challenge sponsored by the CFA Society of Milwaukee and Madison.??The 2024-25 challenge was the largest competition as 13 teams from Universities throughout Wisconsin participated. This was the fourth straight year that UW-Green Bay has entered the competition and it they once again improved over last year’s team.?? ? The team was guided by Donald Swain of PFM Investment and University Professor Kevin M. Jaklin, CFA

I bet you'd never guess that every time you go into a changing room at Dick's Sporting Goods that the mirror that is in the room was made right here in 'little' Green Bay, Wisconsin- how cool! I had the best time last week taking a group of UWGB Austin E. Cofrin School of Business students out to Séura to learn more about the organization, career opportunities, and how the organization began. A huge thank you to Kristen Jonas for helping me organize the tour!
