Meet our new CEO! Stephanie Nathan has been with the team for about a month and we’re so glad she’s here! ??

Third grade classrooms at Leavenworth Elementary learned about preparing for fires, earthquakes, power outages, and safety around bodies of water. Then, in partnership with us and Listos California, they were invited to draw an emergency tip from the category of their choice. Four winners were chosen to receive tickets to Illuminature at Fresno Chaffee Zoo. Congrats to all the winners for their creativity and hard work! Giving Tuesday is a day where organizations all over the world raise funds for important causes. Save Tuesday, Dec 3rd in your calendar and please think of us – or any of your other favorite local causes. Last week, our executive director Marc Philpart spoke at United Way Fresno and Madera Counties' 2024 Central Valley Equity Conference at Fresno City College. The conference explored what equity means for the Central Valley and brought together experts in health, education, workforce development and housing to highlight how equity-based practices can drive real change.

It's been a week since the Central Valley Equity Conference! Thank you all for joining us and being so vulnerable with your thoughts and questions. We're still ruminating; how 'bout you?

As part of our participatory grantmaking project, the Fresno Resident's Council awarded micro-grants to smaller organizations and community groups. One of the recipients was Edison Youth Activities, who purchased uniforms for the players. So cute! ?? We are currently looking for community members in Madera County to serve on our Madera Resident's Council. If you live somewhere in Madera County and are interested in determining where to allocate $100,000 in grant funding in your area, please DM us with your email so we can provide you with more information!
