The University of West Florida Center for Cybersecurity is partnering with the FIU Jack D Gordon Institute for Public Policy to offer?free?cybersecurity strategy training for Florida public sector personnel as part of Cyber Florida’s FirstLine Initiative. This training is designed for employees at the state, county, or city level and those working in state universities, colleges, school districts, and tribal or territorial organizations. Participants will gain valuable insights into recent Florida cybersecurity policies and learn how to develop and implement effective plans for their organizations. The training will be led by Haris Aliba?i?, Ph.D., UWF Associate Professor and Whitman Faculty Fellow, and Connar McCasland, UWF Cybersecurity Instructor. Two options are available: in-person on April 28, 2025, from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM (CDT) at the Studer Community Institute in Pensacola, FL, or virtually on May 12, 2025.
