Okay, it's day two of PTO for me, and I'm inspired by what's possible with NotebookLM. I'll call it a jaw-dropper. Google describes it as your personalized AI research assistant powered by Gemini 1.5 Pro. And it's more: #NotebookLM takes any source material and creates instant and real human-esque conversations around it - aka full podcasts. ?? I've excerpted one minute from the 10-minute podcast deeply grounded in the source material (transcript and slides of my Annual Conference Luncheon Address.) Remember, Gemini is known best for its massive context window, which means less confabulation. I found one ?? in 10 minutes). I encourage you to play with these building blocks of our future. Your future (and mine) depends on responsible, wise application. The 10-minute podcast is at a link in the comments. It's a flattering portrayal of our UWEBC (University of Wisconsin E-Business Consortium) and better, it's all true. PS - I'd argue this is a "creative" act by (me and) #AI. One of our speakers once called LLMs "e-bikes for the mind." This tech has lowered the cost of producing learning experiences we wouldn't have been able to afford. Does it replace human-led creativity (well, not if it was never going to get done)? But I'm also not naive. This will change everything. Every new abundance creates a new scarcity. ??
