How Do You Know If Your Radiation Dose Is Too High? In the latest Frame by Frame: Rethink Imaging episode, host Christopher St John speaks with Kalpana Kanal about the Diagnostic Reference Levels (DRLs) that transformed dose management in CT imaging. DRLs are set at the 75th percentile—meaning if your facility exceeds this threshold, it’s time to investigate why. This initiative not only impacted the U.S. but also provided a global benchmark for medical physicists managing radiation doses. And when it came to pediatric imaging, Dr. Kanal and her team took it a step further—incorporating both age and size-based protocols to ensure safer, more accurate dose management for children. Is your facility optimizing radiation dose the right way? ??Tune in now—full episode link in the comments! - Apple:? https://apple.co/4kCmt3J - Fame Host: https://bit.ly/4ihKfR7 - YouTube:? https://lnkd.in/eZtNkVEG - Spotify: https://spoti.fi/4hnKdG6 #Radiology #PatientSafety #CTImaging #DoseManagement #MedicalPhysics #HealthcareInnovation
