The UW-ECE team "TD-Badger" recently secured second place in the PPoPP Fast Code Programming Challenge, a premier competition in parallel computing. Competing against 46 teams, their efforts were driven by Taskflow, a task-parallel programming system developed over six years by ECE Assistant Professor Tsung-Wei Huang’s research group. At the competition, the team presented a new parallel breadth-first search (BFS) algorithm, improving performance by up to 40%. Learn more about Taskflow: https://lnkd.in/dCr4G7q2 Photo: Asst.
