The Making of ???????????????? - A 6 hour Sprint to Victory! Our challenge? ???????????? ?? ?????????????? ?????? ?????? ???????? —from ideation to prototype in just 6 hours? Last week, our team Sprint Ninjas— Haren Bhatia, Sanika Oke, Varun Bathija, and I— participated in the Product Competition by Association of Information Management Students at University of Washington (UW AIMS) at the University of Washington and won 1st prize! Our solution: ???????????????? - Power to Buy What You Love, Your Way! ???????? ??????????: Financial literacy is not taught early enough. Kids rely on allowances but rarely understand earning, saving, or investing. Parents struggle to teach financial responsibility in an engaging way. How We Designed CoinCrew: ??. ?????????????????????????? ?????? ??????????: We segmented kids into three age groups (6-9, 10-13, 14-17 y/o) to tailor financial tools based on maturity levels. ??. ???????????????? ?????? ?????????? ???????????????? ???? ????????????????????????: - My Wallet: Set saving goals, track progress, and get AI-driven personalized recommendations to hit targets. - Financial Literacy Hub: An interactive learning space, from gamified lessons for young kids to real stock simulations for teens. - Community Earning: A unique way for kids to earn beyond allowance by completing real-world chores for neighbors and local businesses. ??. ??????????????????????: We created a web app to display how we envision our app to be. (Link available on the first page of pdf) ??. ????-????-???????????? ???????????????? ???? ?? ????????????: 4-Months: Partnering with schools, banks, and PTMs to onboard early adopters. 8-Months: Digital marketing push via parenting influencers & YouTube mini-series. 12-Months: National expansion & partnerships with financial institutions. ??. ???????????????????????? ??????????: Subscription model, transaction fees, in-app purchases, and affiliate marketing to ensure long-term sustainability. Key Takeaways from This Sprint Against Time: - Speed doesn’t mean compromise - User-centricity Wins - Collaboration is everything This competition reminded us that good products solve real problems, great products make them engaging! Big shoutout to Association of Information Management Students at University of Washington (UW AIMS), the judging panel that included Pranovaa V. and Ramani Katari, and all teams who competed! Would love to hear your thoughts—how do you think financial literacy should be taught to kids? #ProductManagement #FinTech #CoinCrew #UXDesign #UniversityofWashington
