We're proud to celebrate the Lubbock Police Department, their growing drone fleet, and the expansion of their emergency response efforts. As part of their innovative Drone as First Responder (DFR) operations, the department has teamed with UVT again for an extended demo of the DJI Dock 2, powered by DroneSense, Inc.. Our Engineers ensured a seamless integration into calls for service while establishing geofencing to protect critical infrastructure. Supported by visual observers, their team is exploring how this system enhances situational awareness, reduces response times, and increases efficiency in the field. With 21 certified drone pilots, the Lubbock PD drone team has grown into a powerful example of what public safety can achieve with the right tools and support. UVT has been proud to help make this possible by planning, implementing, integrating, training, and resourcing their fleet. Already, the Dock 2 has proven its value, helping their team respond faster to critical incidents while providing unmatched operational oversight when needed most.
