A Historic Day for the University of Virginia and Northern Virginia! ???? Yesterday, we marked a momentous occasion—the grand opening of UVA’s first satellite campus, UVA | Northern Virginia's Fairfax campus! ??????? With Governor Glenn Youngkin, President James Ryan, Dr. J. Stephen Jones, MD, FACS, and Madam Secretary Aimee Guidera joining us, we officially welcomed hundreds of UVA faculty, staff, alumni, and friends to this incredible new space in Northern Virginia. This campus isn’t just a location—it’s a launchpad for opportunity, innovation, and lifelong learning. We’re here, we’re ready, and we’re excited to connect Northern Virginia learners to UVA’s world-class excellence. Joined Gov. Youngkin for not one, but TWO grand openings today—both fueling innovation and workforce development in NoVA. Back-to-back launches of Virginia’s next-gen innovation hubs included: ?? Virginia Tech’s new Virginia Tech Innovation Campus – alongside Senators Kaine and Warner (and whatever you Hokies call this chicken thing). The focus? National security, AI, and intelligence tech. ?? University of Virginia's new UVA | Northern Virginia campus – reinforcing our investment in higher ed, human capital, and economic growth for Virginians. The clear takeaway: Virginia is doubling down on education, talent, and cutting-edge industries.

We were so pleased to be part of the grand opening celebration for UVA | Northern Virginia Fairfax Campus today! It's exciting to see the continuing growth of UVA in Northern Virginia and the DC area, as #UVAFairfax joins UVA Darden DC Metro, which opened in 2018.
