Same aim, different approach ? Such a pleasure to welcome Hawaa Budraa founder of uunn to Well:o yesterday. Just like Well:o, uunn want to motivate people to reset their relationship with their mouth. Hawaa and her team have developed a scanner that fits onto your smartphone, and an intelligent app monitored by dental professionals, to assess levels of plaque. It shows the user which teeth and gums need special attention. Our favourite bit? The app reminds the user when it's time to see the hygienist —?because even the most proficient teeth cleaners need to see a professional at regular intervals ?? We love the behaviour change that uunn inspires — ?it's like having a dental wellness coach in your pocket! In the same way that Well:o gives every patient their plaque score - to encourage them to improve on it — uunn gamifies oral care by telling users whether they're 'In the Zone' or out of it. uunn's slogan —?'healthy mouth, healthy body' — echoes our belief that oral health is fundamental to overall health ?? Engineering meets Dentistry. I met w Hawaa who started UUNN, a great company, to help you keep your mouths healthy. Their motto "Healthy Mouth, Healthy Body" fits so?perfectly to what we do at well:o. Empowering people to improve oral and overall health. Hawaa started UUNN out of university in 2015. The objective was to help a friend to monitor plaque in order to be able to get braces. She wanted an objective, real time indicator so the friend could avoid going to the dentist again and again for the check. She launched the product after intense years of designing, software development and testing. What a great achievement! Just what we need: an independent , data driven tool telling us when it is really necessary to see a dental professional. Well done, UUNN! We also loved the brand! Its so cool ?? - just like well:o.
