I love it when a plan comes together... I'm beyond excited that the The University of Toledo is adding a new Material Science program. Working at a Toledo glass institution NSG Group (Pilkington or Libbey-Owens-Ford for some locals) in the Glass City, and being a Ceramic Engineer from The Ohio State University, it has never made sense to me that there isn't a bigger ceramic and materials influence at the local universities. We hire dozens of engineers from the local universities each year but having the materials background would provide a big bonus. I know the Northwest Ohio Innovation Consortium (NOIC) has been having a number of discussions with our university and education partners about how to cultivate and create innovation space that drives industry results. I'm thinking this will be the first of many innovative launches that comes out of the local education space as a result of all the collaboration happening here in the city. Calzonetti Frank, thank you and the rest of the team for all of the support in this space. Extremely, extremely excited about this launch. Also wanted to at least comment on the notes around rate increases in this story. Some locals might look at the increases with worry, but as someone that has lived in a variety of cities and states I can tell you that the type of education received for this price is still an incredible value. https://lnkd.in/gjdZ46hT
