The first step to collecting data with UtilityAPI is getting authorization from the utility account holder, and we track it as a “donut.” Here’s how a UtilityAPI donut is made: 1?? Authorize: The utility account holder grants access to their data via our authorization form. 2?? Collect: We gather and process the first bite of data, Meter Data. 3?? Enjoy: Meter Data appears in the user’s dashboard or is available via API. Each step of the donut-baking process ensures the utility account holder’s utility account is safely linked to our platform, and their data is ready to be served—just like a perfectly baked donut.
