关于我们
We are stewards of Utah's Trust Lands. Trust Lands are not public lands but lands granted to the state to generate revenue specifically for the benefit of public schools and other important state institutions. We are an independent state agency that manages 3.3 million acres of these lands and are responsible for generating revenue from them now and for future generations.

We are proud to be a part of this amazing energy production.
The growing hydrogen market is expected to play an important role in the future of lower carbon energy. Our CEO Mike Wirth recently toured the Advanced Clean Energy Storage (ACES) project with our VP of hydrogen, Austin Knight. The project plans to convert renewable energy into dispatchable hydrogen. Green River City Manager ? Rural and Proud ? 435-242-6174 ? Economic Development Professional ? MBA ? Be the change you wish to see in the world.
Attending the Governor Spencer Cox’s #OneUtahSummit was a tremendous opportunity to showcase the City of Green River, UT and its pivotal role in shaping #Utah’s economic future. As Green River’s City Manager, it was an honor to engage directly with key stakeholders, including Governor Cox, Derek Brown, our great state’s next Attorney General, leaders from the Utah Governor's Office of Economic Opportunity, the Utah Inland Port Authority, the Utah School and Institutional Trust Lands Administration, and an entire range of badass community leaders and economic development experts. Green River’s unique location and untapped potential make it a critical hub for both rural revitalization and statewide growth. With industries ranging from tourism to transportation and energy development, we are positioning #GreenRiver as a cornerstone of economic prosperity for Utah. This summit provided the perfect platform to reaffirm our commitment to sustainable growth and explore new partnerships that will drive long-term success. Together, with the involvement of so many key players - including mayors, city council members, city managers, and economic development leaders - we can ensure Green River’s vast potential turns into an economic reality. I am confident that with collaborative efforts and shared vision, we will unlock the next wave of innovation, job creation, and investment that will not only benefit Green River and our beautiful #GunnisonValley, but the entire state. Thanks for the shout-out, Michael! The general public doesn't know a lot about Trust Lands and we're hoping to change that. We do so many amazing things and we were proud to be a part of this project.
What happens when a small mineral exploration company drills a ton of core, places it in a storage shed in small town Utah, but then stops paying their storage fees? Instead of calling the TV show "Storage Wars", the storage company thankfully called the Utah Geological Survey! Before this material went to the local landfill, UGS geologists were able to rescue nearly 2500 ft of core. These cores were collected to evaluate the Blawn Mountain Alunite [KAl3(SO4)2(OH)6] deposit in the west desert of Utah. Alunite is an important potential source of aluminum and potash (K2SO4). Alunite is also commonly encountered as an alteration mineral in high sulfidation epithermal gold deposits. This material will be put to immediate use since UGS coincidentally just received a USGS EarthMRI grant to study Alunite resources in western Utah. Thanks to Andrew Rupke (UGS Industrial Minerals Geologist), Jake Alexander, PG, Skadi Kobe, Maxwell Hamilton, and Shadrach Ashton for their core rescue efforts, as well as Tyler Wiseman from Utah School and Institutional Trust Lands Administration (the owner of the resource). #utahgeology #alunite
