Bring a child to read to therapy dog Kiki at Clearfield Library this Wednesday, October 2. Kiki will be there from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm listening to kids read. ???? Handler Phil and therapy dog Shadow, pictured here, have been volunteering with Utah Pet Partners since 2022. They volunteer at special service events and at a short-term residential center for at-risk youth. I’m kidding, but this dude LOVES to soak in the sun and took his time to soak up some rays while we took a break from our Primary Children’s visit today. Vinson was absolutely amazing per usual. I really feel so lucky to be able to do this. Some highlights from today: We were told on our way in that there was a very special dog loving kiddo why might like to see us, we went and saw them and had so much fun! We got to cuddle on the bed and play fetch! Next, we couldn’t go into a patients room so we visited them from the door way! We put on a trick show for them and they said it was the best part of their week?? Our last highlight is a funny one. It was our last visit of the day so Vinson was starting to get tired. Our new friend invited Vinson onto their bed and he happily obliged (with a sheet barrier ofc) he took a little nap and got some great cuddles. After our visit was up I had him hop off and I turned to start cleaning up, he must have thought I was asking him to get up again bc he hopped right back up???? apparently he wasn’t ready to leave! ??
