As part of UMA’s Flexible Product Fabrication Consortium, Tulinda Larsen and Nicholina Womack hosted Jennifer Guarion and Christian Birky from the ISAIC - Industrial Sewing and Innovation Center at USU Outdoor Product Design & Development. They met with Chase Anderson, Mark Larese-Casanova, and Zak Konadis, to discuss creating a new pilot program in Utah, which will apply advanced manufacturing processes to the industry. They also toured the USU Outdoor Recreation Archive, which has the largest collection of historic materials for Outdoor Recreation in the United States. In 2017, USU Special Collections and Archives (SCA) partnered with the College of Agriculture and Applied Science's Outdoor Product Design and Development (OPDD) program to develop a historical collection of books, catalogs, periodicals, photographs, and manuscripts documenting the history of outdoor gear.
