At the 2024 Utah Transportation Conference, attendees came together in a powerful way—by crafting phone pouches to help prevent distracted driving. These pouches are designed to cinch up phones, helping drivers stay focused and safe. Organized by Zero Fatalities and the Focus Bag Campaign, this hands-on project gave everyone the chance to build something that could help save lives. Each pouch represents the potential to prevent a tragedy, a small but significant step towards a future with #ZeroFatalities. #UtahTransportation #TeamUDOT

Recently, our Statewide Railroad Engineer Megan Leonard had the opportunity to present to BYU’s Institute of Traffic Engineers (ITE) student chapter, sharing her passion for public service and why UDOT is a rewarding place to build a career. She shared her experiences, answered questions from engineering students, and no doubt left a memorable impression on these future professionals.
